01 How To Install LED Aluminum Profile

The installation of the LED aluminum profile includes three steps: install the aluminum profile, install the LED strip into the aluminum profile, and install the aluminum profile cover. The order of these three steps varies depending on the type of installation. We will explain the detailed installation steps step by step below.

Mount the Profile

Fix the channel with brackets, 3M tape, screws or cables — surface, recessed, corner or suspended.

Install the Strip

Peel the liner and stick the LED strip to the inner base of the channel.

Add the Cover

Snap the cover into the grooves until you hear a click.

02 Step 1: Mount the LED Aluminum Profile

LED aluminum profiles are easy to install due to their lightweight. Depending on the shape and function of the LED aluminum profiles, they can be surface mounted, recessed or flush-mounted, corner mounted, or suspended. LED profiles are usually mounted using mounting brackets, screws, 3M double-sided tape or mounting adhesive, suspension cables, and fasteners.

Surface Mount

Mount the LED strip channel directly on a wall, ceiling, or other surface using mounting brackets, 3M double-sided tape, or screws. Brackets have pre-drilled holes so you can fix them quickly, then the profile snaps in. Peeling and sticking 3M tape is just as easy — keep the surface clean and dry for a firm bond.

Recessed or Flush Mount

The profile is mounted behind a wall or surface with the opening flush. Dig a recess to match the channel width and depth. Profiles with lips (wings or flanges) can overlap uneven recess edges, and some have two side recesses so mounting clips can adjust the height and cooling distance.

Corner Mount

Angle channels mount at the corners of a room with 30°, 45° and 60° beam angles, creating ambiance in otherwise unused space. Mounting brackets and double-sided tape make it simple — the 45° inner base also improves strip cooling.

Suspended Mount

Hang the LED extrusion profile from the ceiling with pendant cables, buckles and fasteners to create contemporary in-air lighting for modern spaces.

03 Step 2: Install LED Strip Lights into the LED Extrusion Profile

This is the typical peel-and-stick installation. Peel off the protection liner of the 3M double-sided tape and stick the LED strip to the inner base of the aluminum channel.

Before sticking, make sure the channel is clean and dry so the tape bonds firmly. Once placed, the strip stays in position while you fit the cover.

04 Step 3: Pair the LED Aluminum Channel with Cover

Pairing the channel with its cover gives a clean, diffused finish and protects the LED strip. Follow these steps:

Line UpLine the cover with the LED aluminum channel at one end.

Squeeze InSqueeze the cover into the holding grooves on the inner walls.

Press & ClickPress to the other end — the click sound tells you it sits in position.
